URX

Shut down by Google

URX vs Firebase Dynamic Links: which one for your app?

URX does the everyday job Dynamic Links did, and the store routing part is free: iPhone to the App Store, Android to Google Play, everyone else to your website. URX imports your old long Dynamic Links from a CSV. Deep links and deferred deep links come with Pro at $9 a month.

Firebase Dynamic Links was Google's free deep link service. Google shut it down on 25 August 2025.

Choose URX if

you make an app or share one, and want a free link that sends each phone to its store, with a $9 plan that opens the app.

Skip a link tool if

you only need links that open your installed app: Google recommends plain Universal Links and App Links for that, which you can host yourself.

Questions

When did Firebase Dynamic Links shut down?

On 25 August 2025. Google's FAQ says that after the shutdown, links on page.link and on custom domains return HTTP 404, and page.link domains are no longer available.

What is a free replacement for Firebase Dynamic Links?

URX's free plan sends iPhone visitors to the App Store, Android visitors to Google Play and everyone else to your website, with 25 Smart Links, 1,000 clicks a month, QR codes, a Bio Page and 30 days of click analytics. Past the monthly clicks, links keep working: visitors see a short URX page first until the month resets. You can import your old long Dynamic Links from a CSV.

Can I keep my old page.link URLs?

No. page.link domains belong to Google and no longer redirect, so no service can take them over. Create new links and update them in your app, website, emails and ads.
